Kyle Cunningham: A Eulogy

Kyle Cunningham was born April 27, 1998 to mother Kerrie and father Kevin. He was born with no vision at all. In spite of this, he grew to be a very determined, indipendant and strong young man. Despite some hardships, some trials and lots of struggles, Kyle was resilient in everything he did. At the age of sixteen, Kyle was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes, also known as Diabetes Type 1. Naturally, this was a shock and a life changing event in Kyle's life. However, he did not let his condition stop him, despite many complications with it. He was very musically gifted, often submitting tracks of his own professionally created music on social media. He became an avid blogger later on in life, as well as a big diabetes research supporter. He was also a writer, writing everything from poetry, to short stories, plays and radio dramas, even full novels. At eighteen, Kyle was diagnosed with celiac disease, a condition that does not allow the diagnosed to process weat and grain without becoming very ill. He passed away at just nineteen-years-old, going in his sleep as a result of Diabetic shock caused by Ketoacidosis, also known as extremely high ketones in the blood. He passed away on the night of December 16, 2017 and was found early the following morning while staying with an uncle. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, kindness and wonderful music. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, from family, to friends and on down to deeper relationships. May he rest in peace.
